The EU directive “Network Information Security” (NIS) is currently being replaced by its successor NIS-2. This has resulted in a number of changes. Not only are significantly more companies affected, but the requirements have been tightened and the sanctions for non-compliance are clearly noticeable.
There is still time for implementation (according to the current status) until March 2025. Around 30,000 companies are affected in Germany. Not all of them are adequately prepared yet.
